This research is aimed at describing and analyzing the address terms used in Wuat Wa’i ceremony in which address terms using name, addressing term using pronoun, addressing terms using kinship, addressing term using intimacy, addressing terms using respect and addressing term using mockery and addressing term using teknonyms and the factors affecting the use of addressing terms in Wuat Wa’i ceremony in Papang Manggarai Regency.

This research used descriptive qualitative research method was employed in this research in which the data were word particularly gathered from transcript of Wuat Wa’i ceremony. The instrument of this research was the researcher hersels and to help the researcher in collecting the data she used personal hand phone. Furthermore, the procedures of collecting the data are recording, listening, and taking note and the procedures of analyzing the data consists of three procedures namely data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion.
