That is, a student has understood the use of generic structural aspects of the type "identification and description" in descriptive text. In addition, the researcher found that in the descriptive texts written by each of the student, all students had succeeded in using aspects of language features, the types "to be, have/has, and adjectives, in the descriptive texts written by each. However, in terms of using the aspect of language features of the "action verb" type, only 17 students were successful in using it in the descriptive text they wrote. Meanwhile, the other 8 students did not use words that included action verbs. In addition, each of the student has succeeded in using aspects of language features of the type "to be, have/has, and adjectives. However, there are still some students who do not use aspects of the language characteristics of the type "action verb" in the descriptive text they write. Among those who use or write aspects of the language characteristics of the type "action verb," there are 17 students using it, compared to 8 who do not use or write it. So, the researcher concludes that the students' weaknesses in writing descriptive texts were that they could not or had not succeeded in applying words containing action verbs.
